Born in Panama City, Panama, Chinese and Salvadoran ascendant. He studied Civil Engineering at the Technological University of Panama (UTP) and works in the fields of Building Performance and LEED®.
As a consultant for projects seeking LEED certification, Jose manages the catalog for selection of materials and develops the plans for Indoor Environmental Quality and Waste Management. Also develops the Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality and Materials and Resources credits.
In the academic area he has participated in several conferences and competitions, which include some hosted at MIT in Boston and the Imperial College of London. He also developed the undergraduate thesis titled “Methodological Guide for the Implementation of LEED for Neighborhood Development in Panama”.
